Sabine Valley District 69th Annual Session of Christian Education

Sabine Valley District Congress of Christian Education will be convening on June 10-13, 2024.

The week will be a full week of great biblical teaching and gospel preaching.

On Monday evening, June 10th at 7:30 p.m. will be the Grand Musical. All congress activities will be held at 1803 Barrett St.

Monday, June 10th- 4:45 p.m. Official opening of Congress, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. class period followed by the Grand Musical; Tuesday, June 11th – 4:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. class period, 7:45 p.m. Congress Sermon by Rev. Calvin Boyer of Sweet Union Baptist Church in Garrison; Wednesday, June 12th – 4:45 p.m. to 6:45p.m. class period, 7:30 p.m. Youth Hour with L.R. Bullock Youth Choir and Youth President address by Sis. Kyla Clifton, 8:20 p.m. Dean’s Address by Dr. Daniel Holman; Thursday, June 13th – 4:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. class period, 7:50 p.m. Presidents Annual Address by Rev. David Mosby.

The Certified Congress Classes held each day at 4:45 p.m. include 1001 – Introduction to the Bible with Rev. Daniel Holman, 2001 Baptist Doctrine with Rev. Anthony Jackson, 6021 Spiritual Formation with Rev. Cedric Grace, 1007 Survey of the Old Testament with Rev. Sylvan Clark, 1004 Effective Bible Reading with Rev. Herman Johnson and 8002 Organizing an Effective Prayer Ministry with Rev. Michael Jenkins. Class 8002 will be held at Reed Chapel during the Youth Congress Daily.

During this same week, the 22nd Annual Sabine Valley Youth Congress themed “Making the World Better” will convene on June 10-15, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Reed Chapel Baptist Church, 301 Ironosa St. A separate Youth Congress article has full details of the event.

There will be great instructional classes, seminars, lectures and much more.

Rev. David Mosby is President of the Congress, Rev. Anthony Jackson is the Vice President, and Rev. Danny Holman is the Dean. Sis. Larenda Warrs and Sis. Reva Davis are the co-chairs of the Youth Congress.
