    Four members of the San Augustine High School speaking squad competed at the UIL Academics District Tournament at SFASU on March 27th. All 4 competitors advanced to finals and medaled in the top 6. Two students will advance to the regional meet at Panola in April with a chance to advance to state competitions and the other two will advance as alternates. Austin State University’s Department of Allied Health Studies is hosting a fall-prevention workshop from 9:30 a.m. to noon April 20 in the Baker Pattillo Student Center Twilight Ballroom. This free workshop, which includes a complimentary balance pad, resistance band and lunch, is open to adults 65 and older. To apply, visit gosfa.com/fallprevention by April 10.
