ROBERT GERVUS EAVES

Robert Gervus Eaves, born on July 1, 1944, in Glenmora, Louisiana to Gervus Eaves and Ferrell Goins Eaves, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the age of 80 in Lufkin, Texas. A resident of Hemphill, Texas for the past seven years, Robert had an extensive career as an oilfield consultant, reflecting his years of living in various places influenced by the oilfield industry.

Robert was a member of Camp Springs Baptist Church, where he engaged with his community and faith. His commitment to his profession and his faith were evident in the way he lived his life, being both a hardworking individual and a compassionate community member.

He leaves behind his wife, Catherine Eaves of Hemphill; his son, Terry Eaves and wife, Darlene, of Glenmora, Louisiana; his daughter, Brannon Gonzalez and husband, Robert; and his brother, Tommy Eaves with his wife, Wanda. Robert was a proud grandfather to Caitlin Bosby, Micheal Redd, Tiphani Pelley and Tancii Collins; and thirteen great grandchildren. 

In addition, three stepchildren, seven step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas.
