Lynn P. Smith

Lynn P. Smith, 69, passed away on September 15, 2024, in Hemphill, Texas. Born on May 27, 1955, in Fort Meade, Florida, she was the daughter of Joseph Dallas Prine and Lucille Eures Prine.

Lynn was a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse until her retirement, after which she devoted herself to caring for her family. A resident of Sabine County for 12 years and formerly of Channelview, Texas, Lynn was known for her deep love for her family. Her warm and caring nature made her beloved by all who met her, and her love for her sons was particularly profound.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Smith of Hemphill; sons, William Bland and Carrie Dean of Mont Belvieu, and Kenny Smith, Jr. of Hemphill; sister, Norma McDowell and Madison of Channelview, TX; and grandchildren, Tyler Parker, Taylor Parker, Hunter Parker, Gabrial Bland, and Dusten Bland.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024, in Starr Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Hemphill Cemetery.
