Deloris Fields Williams, age 77, of San Augustine, Texas, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025, at Summit Health Care in San Augustine.
Mrs. Williams was born June 3, 1948, in Center, Texas, to parents Annor Jewel (Winn) and Burnise Fields Sr. She was a longtime East Texas area resident and graduated from San Augustine's Lincoln High School in 1968. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Deloris served her country for two years. She worked at several area entities and retired from San Augustine Development Center as a CNA.
Her survivors include her boyfriend, Bobby Barnes of San Augustine; children, Victoria "Vickie" Barnes of San Augustine, James Barnes Jr. of San Augustine, Verdale Barnes of Pineland, Christopher Barnes and Shereeta of Garrison, and Nefretiri "Tee" Williams and Steve Holman of San Augustine; step-sons, Derek Barnes and B.J. of Dallas, Willie Williams of San Augustine, O'Daniel Williams of San Augustine, and Leo Williams Jr. of San Augustine; "raised like a daughter," Jahmirah Whitaker; her siblings, Emma Hawkins, Berniece Cotton, Burnise Fields Jr., Eddie Nash and Michelle, Charlie Mae Moore, Annie Jean Williams, and Charles Brock; a special sister friend, Evelyn Henson; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Ruby Nell Nash; sons, Andrew Williams Jr. and Danny Ray Williams; step-daughter, Brenda Williams Hill; and siblings, David Jonathan Fields, Jeanette Singleton, and Alice Marie Brock.
Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home chapel, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas, with Rev. Charles Barnes and Rev. Chris Cotton officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah Cemetery, located off FM 705 South.
Pallbearers: Tyrone Cook, Charles Cook, Michael Cook, Alex Henderson, Robert Whitaker, and Rayford Roberts.
