Mr. Weldon Delayne Thompson, age 62, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025, at his residence near Broaddus, Texas.

Weldon was born June 11, 1963, in Texas City, Texas, to parents Emery Jean (Taylor) and David Thompson and had been a longtime resident of the Southeast Texas area. Upon retirement, he moved fulltime to his home at Lake Sam Rayburn. Weldon worked over 36 years for Lummus Technology in Pasadena in various capacities before retiring as a supervisor. He had a great passion for outdoors... hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his sons, Jordan Thompson and fiancé Kassandra Cazares of Brenham, Texas, and Joshua Thompson of LaMarque, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Thompson; mother and step-father, Emery Jean and Gregory "Butch" Marceaux; and brothers, Darren Thompson and David Thompson Jr.

Private family arrangements are being planned under the direction of Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine, Texas.
